    规划区位于苏州古城的西北部,为古城保护1号和2号地块,也是苏州古城申遗重要一部分。项目北临外护城河,东依城市主干道人民路,南面为著名的桃花坞大街,总用地面积为95.49公顷。

    规划区内唐寅故居、朴园、准提庵(苏州版画社)、桃花坞大街等历史文化遗迹得到保护与重现。2014年6月,随着中国大运河成为世界文化遗产,大运河苏州段正式列入世界文化遗产名录,苏州也成为运河沿线唯一以古城概念申遗的城市。

    The planning area is located in the northwest of the ancient city of Suzhou. Plot No. 1 and No. 2 are protected for the ancient city, which is also an important part of the application of the ancient city as a World Heritage Site. The project is adjacent to the Outer Protecting River in the north, Renmin Road in the east, and the famous Taohuawu Street in the south, with a total land area of 95.49 hectares. 

    Historical and cultural relics such as Tang Yin's former residence, Piaoyuan, Zhuantian (Suzhou Printmaking Society) and Taohuawu Street in the planning area have been protected and recreated. In June 2014, as the Grand Canal of China became a World Cultural Heritage Site, the Suzhou section of the Grand Canal was officially listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site, and Suzhou became the only city along the canal to be listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site with the concept of ancient city.
